The Big New Push to Export America’s Gas Bounty

New York Times -- JUST off the coast of Texas, Excelerate Energy is hoping to strike it big.

The Houston energy company plans to build a multibillion-dollar offshore export terminal halfway between Corpus Christi and Galveston to ship natural gas around the world.

As one of the first United States companies to be granted an export license, Excelerate Energy is looking to capitalize on an American oil and gas boom that is reshaping the global energy markets.

Once dependent on natural gas imports, the United States has gone from a buyer to a potential seller after a flurry of recent natural gas discoveries across the country accessible with new extraction technology.

Actually it can be good for the US consumer jrs4125.

You see, our country depends on trade for a strong economy. Our trade deficits are woeful and by cutting this deficit by exporting products, we create jobs, which creates more disposable income, which pays more taxes......

We shouldn't export until USA prices are at their cheapest for our Citizens first. Their should be an export tariff on resources.

Ah you suckers! The foolers will be socking it to ya just in time for winter heating bills!

Un natural gas is unregulated for motor travel just like gasoline and diesel. Buy in, and you are gonna get zinged!

With the fossil foolers, the joke is ALWAYS on the consumer.

Poison our water and lands, and sell the product to foreigners! Good work gypsies!

exporting it helps make a win-win for the oil companies. Take advantage of higher prices overseas, while keeping prices higher here at home, too.

In the mean time we have to pay more for fuel in America because of the shortages caused by exports. There should be an export tax on all exported fuels.

What ever happened to energy independence?... it was just a convenient advertising campaign by the oil & gas companies to exploit US energy resources how ever and where ever they pleased. Now it will all go to the highest bidder.

It is all about the money that can be made now. As of now it is unlikely anyone besides Cheniere will get approval to export to non free trade counties and that is where the money is. Check out the EIA website.

Only allow export of any American resources if we produce more than we Use with a buffer quantity. Also only If we have more than enough to last at anticipated usage until we are sure we won't need it anymore due to other Energy Sources available within our nation including Solar etc.

Remember that may take a hundred yrs. by most recent analysis.

Since our so called leadership in Washington has fallen in love with "green " energy, they are totally blinded on how to make the transistion. Instead they have wasted billions on bad loans to bankrupt companies at taxpayer expense.
